Naast Viognier (Condrieu) verbouwt Pichon ook Marsanne, Rousanne en Syrah.
De druiven staan aangeplant in Condrieu, Cote-Rotie, Saint-Joseph (wit en rood) Cornas, Crozes hermitage (rood), Hermitage (wit).

Condrieu Caresse komt van zuidelijk gesitueerde heuvels en staan in het midden van de heuvels aangeplant. 
De druiven komen van gemiddeld 45 jaar oude wijnstokken en worden met de hand geplukt. De vergisting is spontaan in houten vaten. Ook vindt er een malolactische omzetting plaats.
De rijping is 12 maanden in 50% nieuw Eiken en 50% Eiken vaten van 1 jaar oud.

Het is een ronde en kruidige en krachige wijn met veel finesse en een delicate finish.
Koel drinken bij 13-15 graden , en goed bij visgerechten, wit vlees en kaas.
