2014 release. Eleven early electroacoustic pieces for the Studiotrautonium keyboard alongside tape manipulation to accompany the New York City Ballet production of Electronics by George Balanchine. Originally staged March 22, 1961, as part of a double bill choreographed by Balanchine, the experimental New York City Ballet production of Electronics included the renowned dancers Violette Verdy and Jacques d'Amboise (pictured on this reissue's cover art) and a revolutionary score by multi-disciplinary composer Remi Gassmann using a truly unique instrument. Working alongside German-born keyboard composer and close acquaintance Oskar Sala (with whom he had studied in Berlin under Paul Hindemith), Gassmann was given access to the latest developments of the Trautonium, an early electronic keyboard that was first exhibited in 1930 by inventor Adolf Trautwein and three pianists (including Sala). Being one of the original exponents of the machine, Sala (with Trautwein's blessing) took the basic model of a neon tube oscillator and wire frequency controller (which provided an untempered continuous tonal range) and spent over twenty years developing what would become the Konzerttrautonium (as used by Richard Strauss to emulate synthetic gongs), followed by the microtonal Mixturtrautonium and eventually the static Studiotrautonium, which formed the centerpiece of Sala's studio in Charlottenburg, Berlin, where Electronics was composed and realized. For the 1961 ballet, dressed in metallic bodysuits with geometric diodic motifs, Verdy and d'Amboise (alongside a small troupe of other dancers) performed the concise 11-part ballet to polarized but predominantly positive audiences, generating a new outlook on experimental dance and supporting the similar sensibilities of other choreographers such as Alwin Nikolais, Yvonne Georgi (with Henk Badings), and Maurice Béjart (with Pierre Henry). As one of the first American performances drawing primarily on European developments, the modest critical success of the project would open new avenues for the electronic musical duo who were commissioned later in the year by Alfred J. Hitchcock Productions to provide enhanced and versatile sound effects emulating cacophonic bird sounds alongside Bernard Hermann for the 1963 blockbuster the Birds.

Chew
Size: X-Small, Color: Ring Bone
My dog loves this little chewy bone and it’s good for her teeth. That was very cheap on a sale. It’s worth giving it a try highly recommend it.

Chicken Flavor Good, But 🔄 Rotation-Resistant✖; Best for Simpler Chewers
Size: X-Small, Color: Ring Bone, Size: X-Small, Color: Ring Bone
🐾 Hi, I’m PVD; plush sophisticate, chew critic, and active curator of rotational toy relevance.
This ring bone and I never fully bonded. I sampled it maybe five times in my entire puppyhood before quietly returning it to the bin (with a single judgmental glance).
Still, it does have value for the right pup.
⭐ Why I originally wanted to love it:
✔️ XS size works well for very young puppies
✔️ Chicken flavor lasts impressively long
✔️ Freezing offers temporary gum relief
✔️ Durable and safe; no odd odors or shredding
🌀 Why it’s now a respectful 3-star chew in my rotation:
✘ Never became a go-to toy (5 uses max in my life)
✘ Ring shape felt awkward, not natural or chic; hard to grip and maneuver
✘ Texture too tame vs. nubs or detailed chew surfaces
✘ When I was smaller, I much preferred the Nylabone Baby Blue Bone Chew Toy with nubs (my personal classic), and have since matured into nightly Nylabone “Nubz” edible bones
This Ring Bone is Best For:
• Very young puppies with minimal chew preferences
• Dogs who like simple textures and circular shapes
• Those just starting enrichment chew play
• Freezer treat rotations (briefly)
🚫 Not ideal for: picky pups, advanced chewers, or dogs who analyze toy ergonomics (like myself).
📝 Final Re-Barks:
A strong, well-made chew, but lacked the intrigue to make my permanent rotation. Works for basic chew enjoyment; not for pups with elevated taste or toy ambition.

Puppy loves it!
Size: X-Large, Color: Teething Bone, Size: X-Large, Color: Teething Bone
My small puppy loves this bone! I originally purchased this for a larger dog, but my small 10 pound puppy loves it more. It’s good quality and a softer material for puppies!

A hit, but could be stronger
Size: Medium, Color: Ring Bone, Size: Medium, Color: Ring Bone
Gave this to my 11 week old pittie, and she did significant damage within 15 mins. She left a pile of chewed bits on the couch but thankfully didn't eat them. Definitely don't leave unsupervised.
That said, she LOVED it and it seemed to help her teething gums so, I'm still giving it a 4/5

My dog loves this toy!!!
Size: Medium (Pack of 1), Style: Stick Medium
I bought this toy for my 80 lb dog who is very rough on her toys. She Loves squeaker toys. This toy held up for about 1 years which is awesome for how aggressive my dog is with her toys. I play tug of war with her with this. The squeaker didn't last too long. Somehow she broke that pretty quickly but the toy itself was very strong and durable. It's a softer rubber like material and it's bendable and twistable. After the toy broke (it actually broke in half), I purchased her another one because of how much she enjoyed it. This newer one, the squeaker still works and have had it for about 6 months or so now. I highly recommend this toy to anyone who has a dog that is an aggressive chewer and who's hard on their toys.
