Introducing Cisco Cable Protection, a smart, durable solution designed to safeguard every connection in your cabling infrastructure. This 5-pack of Cable Glands delivers reliable strain relief, robust sealing, and streamlined management for network closets, data centers, industrial facilities, and residential installations. Built to endure daily wear, exposure to dust and moisture, and the rigors of professional environments, Cisco Cable Protection helps reduce maintenance, prevent downtime, and extend the life of your cables. Whether you’re upgrading an existing installation or outfitting a new build, this set provides the versatility you need to maintain clean, organized, and safe cabling with minimal effort. Designed for technicians, installers, and IT professionals, it blends reliability with cost-efficiency, giving you consistent protection across projects and sites.

  • Complete 5-pack for versatile deployments: With five cable glands in each pack, you’ll have the right size on hand for a wide range of cable diameters and entry points. The set makes it easy to deploy across multiple cabinets, enclosures, or outdoor fixtures, reducing the need for separate purchases and helping you standardize your protection strategy across sites. Whether you’re securing power, data, or fiber conduits, this pack provides the flexibility to protect diverse cabling configurations without sacrificing performance or speed during deployment.
  • Advanced sealing and strain relief: Each gland is designed to provide dependable sealing against dust, moisture, and environmental contaminants while delivering effective strain relief to prevent micro-movements that can compromise connections. This translates to fewer service calls and longer cable life, even in challenging environments. By minimizing cable movement at the point of entry, these glands help maintain signal integrity and reduce wear on connectors, plugs, and insulation through busy workdays and changing operating conditions.
  • Rigid, durable construction for longevity: Crafted from high-quality materials chosen for durability and performance, the glands resist cracking, UV damage, and wear from recurring plug-ins and removals. This ensures continued protection for years, even in busy installations or areas with high traffic behind panels. The rugged build supports both indoor and moderate outdoor settings, maintaining a tidy, protected footprint that contributes to safer installations and easier maintenance over the life of the system.
  • Effortless installation for professionals: The glands are designed for quick, tool-light installation with simple hand-tightening or minimal tooling. A secure, reliable seal is achieved with a straightforward clamping mechanism, making it easy to protect cables without sacrificing speed during commissioning or maintenance. This translates to faster project turnaround, reduced labor costs, and fewer installation errors, which is especially valuable in large-scale data centers or multi-site networks.
  • Cost-effective cable protection solution: Investing in a 5-pack reduces per-unit cost while delivering scalable protection across projects. The consistent design ensures compatibility across sites and simplifies inventory management for integrators, IT teams, and facility engineers. By standardizing on a single, reliable protection solution, teams can streamline procurement, reduce waste, and deliver consistent performance from one installation to the next, regardless of project size.

How to install Cisco Cable Protection

Proper installation ensures optimal protection and a long service life for your cabling. Follow these steps to install Cisco Cable Protection glands quickly and reliably. Begin by assessing the cable diameter and selecting the appropriate gland size from the 5-pack to ensure a snug seal and effective strain relief. Prepare the cable end by trimming any frayed edges and stripping insulation to expose an appropriate length for insertion, taking care not to nick the conductor. Thread the cable through the gland body and tighten the nut or clamp until the gasket compresses evenly, stopping short of over-tightening to protect the gasket and enclosure. Mount the gland into the enclosure, panel, or conduit entry with the provided mounting features, then gently test the setup by applying light force to the cable to confirm that the strain relief holds without allowing movement. Finally, verify that the seal remains intact and perform periodic inspections to catch wear or degradation early, replacing worn glands as needed to maintain protection across the network lifecycle.

  • Plan and select the right gland: Identify the cable diameter and entry point, then choose the gland size that provides the best seal and strain relief for your installation.
  • Prepare the cable: Trim any frayed edges, strip the insulation as required, and ensure the cable end is clean before insertion.
  • Insert and seal: Feed the cable through the gland body and tighten the nut or clamp until the sealing gasket compresses evenly. Avoid over-tightening to prevent damage to the gasket.
  • Mount and test: Secure the gland into the enclosure or panel, verify a snug fit, and gently move the cable to confirm the strain relief is effective and there is no undue movement.
  • Inspect and document: Check seals periodically, replace any worn glands, and update your cable protection inventory to maintain consistent protection across your network.

Versatile hub adds the ports my Mac lacks
This 7-in-1 USB C hub from Anker has made it easy to connect my laptop to all the devices I need. The HDMI port consistently outputs 4K video at 60Hz, while the USB 3.0 ports and SD/microSD slots transfer files quickly without errors. I appreciate that the pass-through charging allows me to power my MacBook while using the hub, and the unit itself feels solid and well made. It's truly plug-and-play, with no drivers to install, and it greatly expands the limited port selection on modern laptops. The only minor drawback is that the hub can get a little warm under heavy use, but overall it's a reliable, convenient accessory that I feel confident recommending.

Awesome USB-C Hub
My new MacBook Air has USB-C ports only, so I recently upgraded to this USB-C hub, a 7in1 Multi-Port USB-C Adapter, and it has completely solved all of my port needs. With the two USB-A ports, I can still use my old memory sticks, without replacing them, as well as two USB-C ports, all making moving files, movies and pictures, with ease. I needed something fast and reliability, and this little device delivers on both fronts. One of the USB-C ports it a power passthrough, which works great for charging device, like my MacBook Air. It is very easy to use, just plug and play, making it compatible with the MacBook Air. Also has a built in card reader, and a HDMI port, pretty much covering all your port needs. If you are looking for a well built, reliable, fast, and compact USB-C hub that can everything, this is the one to get. Highly recommended!

Good value and best of all - it works
This did the job I wanted it to. Expanded the ports when my laptop just ran out. No delay or ANY issue no matter what I plugged where and after a little figuring out where things went (not difficult) its performing very well. As far as value, its great. I always evaluate something by if I would purchase it again. Yes I would. if you need it, get it and set it up and move on with less worry about port capacity.

Good Multipurpose Hub, Some Limits on Power Draw
I use this with a Dell Latitude 7430 with a 65W charger, and it works fine as a docking hub. The only problem I've encountered is when rebooting, the boot will pause with a warning message to tell me that the laptop may encounter reduced performance because it isn't able to receive the full 65 watts. I don't get that warning if I'm not running the power supply through the hub. Otherwise, if I just use the hub as a port extender everything is fine. It has a compact design and is reasonably lightweight. It would be ideal for travel. Like my other Anker hubs, it's well constructed and doesn't feel cheap although it's good value for money.

I don't know how I ever lived without it.
I'm very happy with this device. My laptop doesn't have an ethernet port and only has one USB-C SuperSpeed port, so I bought an ethernet to USB-C cable to connect my ethernet switch to the Anker and into my laptop's USB-C port, and it works great. I don't need a fast internet connection for the things I do, so my service is only a 50mbps symmetrical up/down connection, and that's what I get even while transferring files from my external between other devices, charging my phone, and using composite devices. I bought the Anker 100W Compact and Foldable USB C Charger for it and it charges my S24 extremely fast. It's very well built, yet super lightweight. I love the sleek, slender design. It's the perfect size to easily slide into a pocket, store in a desk drawer, or keep handy in a laptop case or backpack. Using it is easy. Just plug it into your computer and plug your devices into it. Just make sure you have a power supply for it if you're charging or powering other devices, using external storage, or running anything else that taxes USB power. I have had ZERO connectivity issues with it — no random disconnect/reconnect blips, no failed transfers for huge amounts of data that have taken up to 45 minutes, no static his or crackle when my headset is running through it... no problems at all. It's actually kind of spooky now that I think about it... I can't recall a time I've ever had a similar device that didn't have some nuance that got under my skin, like a loose connection, random disconnections, having to reinstall the drivers all the time, or having to troubleshoot just to get it connected for the first time. The most stress I've put it through was with my keyboard connected, ethernet running through it, my S24 charging and transferring about ~20gb of pictures and videos to my 2T external HD at the same time that my laptop was transferring about ~500gb of media and documents to the HD, too, and I was surprised by how warm it DIDN'T get. My only complaint is trivial and unique to my situation — I wish output cord was longer. About six inches would do. My laptop sits up on an adjustable stand that clamps to my desk, and the end where the output cord is hangs a few inches off of my desk. This puts extra stress on the USB-C port and can wear it out faster or damage it. I haven't had a use for the HDMI port yet, but I eventually will. I use all of the other ports for my work and personal devices, though. These include: a 2tb external hard drive; a Poly Blackwire 3320 Series headset; a dongle for a wireless mouse/keyboard combo or a wired keyboard and a dongle for a wireless mouse; my Galaxy S24 charges and transfers files through it super fast; I have several thumb drives ranging from 20gb to 512gb that I regularly use; I recently bought an RCA/S Video-to-USB converter to digitize old home movies I plug into it, too.
